Remy Meijers creates his furniture designs from an interior architect’s point of view. Architects tailor interiors completely to the user’s specific needs, but oftentimes there are no existing products on the market that perfectly fit into the total design of the project. In many cases, also the furniture will therefore be custom made. The philosophy behind Remy Meijers’s designs, is that they should be seen as part of a hollistic interior design, not as much a stand alone product. Eventhough the latter can be amazingly beautiful just as well.

Using this thought, Remy Meijers created a series of products for the Odesi collection. His designs have a touch of dreariness which makes them even more refined and imperishable to time. So far it’s proven to be successful concept, the same Odesi products designed by Remy Meijers have been used to furnish small living spaces to very large office projects.
